Lord, Save Me

This piece has generated more 'buzz' than probably any other piece I've done in a church setting- probably because it was the result of a fruitful collaboration.  Ike Graul and I got together one day to talk about doing a drawing or painting (the actual medium is pastel) for one of his sermons which was to be about Peter's walk on water.  I'm rarely satisfied with traditional depictions of Biblical scenes and so our speculations on what it might have looked like lead to the possibility that Peter might have ended up under the water before Jesus grabbed him by the hand and raised him up.

Which begs the question:  Are we under the water?  Are we drowning in our concerns over the wind and the waves?  Jesus is there, reaching down, ready to pull us out, if we would only reach out and take his hand.

After years of people asking if they could buy a copy, I've finally gotten things set up to offer prints.  If you would like to buy a copy just click on the button below and you will be directed to PayPal to complete your purchase.

Thank you, and God Bless.
